Bambi Review
Bambi was about a young prince named Bambi,a deer, and his life avoiding man. Bambi is a delicious book. A true classic. Generation after generation will certainly love it like I did. You won't be able to put it down. I liked the book because, I enjoy hunting, so it was kinda cool to read about animals. The reason i gave it four stars was because I disliked the book a little. I disliked the book because it wasn't like the movie, and it made my fellow hunters look bad.

Critical Thinking, Thoughtful Writing: A Rhetoric With Readings
Published in Paperback by Houghton Mifflin Co (January, 2002)
Authors: John Chaffee, Christine McMahon, and Barbara Stout
Average review score:

Thinking Critically - Great for new or returning students!
This is the book I used for my 1st college class in many years.
There are tools in here, such as "mind mapping", that I am still using and will continue to use in much of my academic future. Lots of information learned here can easily be applied to work situations as well. Highly recommended.

Gold & Glory (Forgotten Realms)

Authors: Tim Beach and Doug Chaffee
Average review score:

Wonderful portrayal of colorful adventuring fellowships
Here's a beautiful supplement for the Forgotten Realms - this sourcebook details the famous (and infamous!) mercenaries and heroic fellowships of the world. There are chapters on history, guidance, and maps; most importantly, there are complete details on the fascinating characters themselves; their powers, dreams, motivations, and secrets are all revealed here. A huge, beautiful display of color plates crowns this section. And, as a coup de grace, there are complete BattleSystem statistics in the back, so you can have these proud elite contingents fight in your epic battles! Highly recommended.

Neo-Confucian Education: The Formative Stage (Studies on China, Vol 9)

Authors: Wm Theodore De Bary, John W. Chaffee, and William Theodore De Bary
Average review score:

A good discussion in the topic of Neo-Confucian
This is a essays collection in a conference held in US. For a Chinese as me, it is good for me to know how the excellent western scholars to study in Chinese social and political history. However, I think it would be better if one or two papers, written by chinese scholars, were included.

Technique Patterns
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Warner Brothers Publications (23 November, 1994)
Author: Gary Chaffee
Average review score:

A Good Approach to Better Control
This is a good book that really synthesizes ideas that are found in a couple of other books. Technique Patterns could be aptly retitled "Stick and Bass Drum Control." Having said that (and owning, using, and liking the other books), I'm still very glad I bought Technique Patterns. Chaffee is an excellent teacher, and just owning the book and CD is like buying some great drum lessons really cheap. Chaffee's demonstrations on the included CD are helpful in bringing the exercises to life, and giving the student an idea of how he or she should try to sound. But, for me, the BEST parts of the book are the author's excellent introductions to each section, explaining how to approach the exercises. AND they also explain why he wants you to do the exercises. If you want better mastery of your sticks and bass pedal, this can really help you to get there. If your self taught (like me) those explanations take a lot of the guess work out of learning technique exercises.

Condor's Egg

Authors: Jonathan London and James Chaffee

Condor's Egg
This book contains beautiful illustrations. The minimal text is motivational for children who are discouraged by pages filled with words. However, the vocabulary is not easy and is definitely not for a beginning reader without support. Very informational.
